Ice Skating

[Aviva walked outside of the House of Mouse where there was a large Ice Skating rank set up. She held her skates close to her as she sat by one of the near by benches to put her shoes on. Rollerskates she’s had experience before, but ice skating? Uh-uh, didn’t have time for that one. Although maybe it won’t be so bad, there’s always taking your first step. As she got herself up, she immediately did not have very good balance, and flailed her arms to catch the railing. Gulping she looked to the ice skating rink in anticipation.

Holding her breath she sets herself off, verrrry carefully onto the ice. Although that wasn’t exactly right approach, she landed on her butt just seconds after with a loud squeak. Aviva made a face as she slipped herself up and tried again, a minute later, SQUEAK, falls on butt. Embarrassed, she got herself toward the railing again to help herself up, and looked onward to the other skaters on the ice having a good time. She made a somewhat sad face as she tried to keep balance.]

[Then from Aviva's side came a firm hand, grasping her upper arm as its mate, just as steady, was rested on her back. Chris leaned forward slightly and looked at her with a smile.]

Y'hanging in there alright, Aviva?

[Asemu gets his skates on as quick as he can and goes out on the ice to join his friends.]

Hey guys!

[He smiles gently, coming to a stop for a moment next to Chris and Aviva.]

[Aviva got held back up steady with the help from Chris. As she reaches to hold out her arm to balance with Chris. As she gave a shy smile.]

Oh I'm alright, I just need to work on my balance I think.

[She gave a somewhat embarrassed smile.]

Hey Asemu, came to ice skate too huh?

[beingthecreature]

[He laughed softly and smiled at her.] Yeah, looks like it.

[A glance up and he blinks, then smiles brightly.] Oh hey Asemu! Looks like you had the same idea we did.

Yeah, I was gonna wait for a bit, but then I saw you two out here. Didn't want to miss the chance to skate with friends.

Awww! Well we'd love to have you join us! I always wanted to try ice skating-See I know how to rollerskate buuuut, ice skating isss kinda different.

[Looking down at the ice with a bit of wince.]

I know the physics alright, I'm just trying to get my body to adjust to it.

[beingthecreature]

Ahhw, we'll get ya used to it in no time, Aviva. [He grinned as he squeezed her shoulders and then skated backwards, slipping that hand down her arm to keep contact and balance until he could take hold of her hand. There he stopped, looking at her with a curious smile.]

Ready?

C'mon Aviva, it's not that different from your rollerskates.

[So saying, Asemu skates off and does a big figure 8.]

Y-Yea.

[She holds out her arms carefully onto Chris as skates out onto the ice. She made a pout a Asemu.]

There are few similarities, but there's a lot differences-And you shouldn't be showing off like that!

[He snickered softly and smiled, taking hold of Aviva's other hand and smiling, watching her carefully.]

I'm not showing off!

[He does a double axle.]

[Twitches, and straightens up to try and tell him off.]

Whoa-Whoa-WHOA!!

[TRIPPING FORWARD TOWARD YOU CHRIS, O CRIPES!]

[beingthecreature]

Whoa-! [He makes a valiant effort to save her but it doesn't quite work, her weight thumps into his and sways him backwards off onto one foot.] Aviva--!

[a_super_pilot]

[Out of nowhere, Asemu skates past the pair, grabbing Chris' shirt and pulling both him and Aviva back to their feet. He skates a few feet away, then turns.]

You two all right?

[bratt_brothers_no]

[She gave a full fledge squeak at the turn of events. As she was pulled into Chris, clinging him around as she buried her face into his chest. She blinks as she realizes she wasn't on the ground. She gave out an "Oh" before looking toward Asemu.]

Uh-Oh I think so thanks I-...

[Looks back up a Chris, realizes how close they are, turns red. SQUEAK, falls over anyway. Well at least it was on her butt.]

[beingthecreature]

[Chris sighed in relief, giving Asemu a crooked grin.]

Yeah that was great, thanks- whoa!

[He instinctively tried to keep hold of Aviva but she slips through his hands before he can really get hold, only able to get her hands at the last second. ...Which winds up whipping him down anyway.]

[Asemu can't help but chuckle.]

Man, you guys...

[bratt_brothers_no]

[Squeaks as he falls on her. She made a somewhat painful "oof" and groaned.]

Ooooooh owwww, Chris are you ok?

[beingthecreature]

Yeah, I'm alright. [He pushes himself up, a little shakily on the ice, then looks at her in immediate- if bashful -concern.] Are you? Sorry 'bout that...

[a_super_pilot]

[Asemu goes back to join Martin in their skating routine.]

[bratt_brothers_no]

[She sits herself up and carefully slides out from under him.]

Oh-Oh I'm fine, only thing that got hurt I think is my pride.

[Gives a little embarrassed smile up at him.]

[beingthecreature]

[He giggled a bit and leaned back, standing up with a little wobble before bracing himself and offering a hand to Aviva.]

[Aviva reaches up at takes Chris by the hand to help herself up. She giggles as well.]

Alright, let's try this again, only with less falling.

[beingthecreature]

[Only a slight weeble as he pulls her up, keeping hold of her hands.]

Yeah, that'd be preferable.

[bratt_brothers_no]

[She inches forward this time, trying to get herself balance as she looked down at her feet to try concentrate.]

Ok... One foot after the other, must not slip, must not slip....

[beingthecreature]

[Like a father teaching his child how to ride a bike, Chris keeps his hands grasping Aviva's until she's steady and going on her own momentum, at which point he slowly slips free, though remaining nearby and well within arm's reach.]

[bratt_brothers_no]

[Holds her hands with him. She slowly skates, carefully and gently. Her feet gliding. Watching her movement as she held her breathe. She can feel her heart beating so fast as she inched along across the ice.]

[the_lion_roller]

[Careful you two, you're gonna make the ice melt.

Have a Martin skating boisterously in between the two of you.]

Heh-hey, you're doing great, Aviva!!!

[He pulls a jump, going into a spin and finishing with a flourish. Show off.]

[a_super_pilot]

[Asemu flies through right after Martin.]

Yeah, keep it up!

[He goes into a jump in perfect timing to complement Martin's, spinning in the opposite direction and landing with a mirrored flourish.]

[beingthecreature]

Martin-? [He had barely enough time to register his brother whooshing between them before the momentum set him spinning on the ice, letting him wooble to a stop just before Asemu went by and caused it to happen again.

By the end of the revolution his eyes were spinning in different directions and he keeled over, hitting the ice with a whump and an oof.]

[Aviva squeaked again, then began off with the spin. The music started picking up in the background, she closed her eyes as she started to spin a full circle, she held out her arms, as if she was doing it perfectly as normal skater could as she close comes to a stop. Looking slightly dizzy as she opened her eyes, whoa what just happened.]

[beingthecreature]

I... am going to get him.

[He pushed himself up and shook his head clear, brushing powder ice off the back of his hair.]

You alright, Aviva? [He glanced at her, then up and blinked, snickering.] I guess so!

[bratt_brothers_no]

[She looked at herself then gave a smile with a giggle.]

Hey hey! I did it!

[She skated toward him and held his hands to guide him back out in ice with her.]

Look! Look! Chris! I can ice skate! C'mon let's go together!

[beingthecreature]

[Immediately after standing his hands were taken by hers, and he gave her a warm smile at that, skating right along with her pace.]

See? I knew you could do it, Aviva!

[bratt_brothers_no]

[The music starts to play around them, Feliz Navidad~ Feliz Navidad~, as they glided together across the ice rank. She held his hands tightly as she gave a huge smile of glee. She skidded carefully around to look him in the eyes giving out a joyful laugh. Snow practically dancing around with them as the music played.]

[He gave her a tender, bright smile in return, keeping careful hold of her hands as they locked eyes, and he gently led her around in a circle before straightening out, taking an easy pace down along the rink.]

[bratt_brothers_no]

[She smiled back at him, already started to loose herself in the moment. She glided in the circle, tilting her head up at him as she gazed into his eyes. Giving a little giggle as she held his hand, skating slowly with him. Suddenly feeling so warm even though it was so cold outside as she gently leaned toward him.]

[Chris smiled, slowing to a near stop as his hand tightened around hers and he watched her softly, little else existing for him except Aviva as he kept her close.]

[Dudes, you're almost stopped right in the- oh well, he can improvise.]

Beep beep!!

[Martin skates by again, a wide grin on his face. Idly spinning a little, as he turns round, he grabs a hold of Chris's arm at the elbow, pulling him (and Aviva) along with him as he skates backwards.]

Too slow, guys!!

[Flails a bit as she regains her balance as she clung to Chris's other arm.]

M-Martin?!

What are you-This isn't a train!

[beingthecreature]

Martinnn! [He wobbled a bit as he quickly regained his balance. After checking back on Aviva, he turned his head back and glared after his brother.] Let go! What are you doing?!

[the_lion_roller]

[Of course it's not a train, Aviva. What train goes, "Beep beep"?

Have a grin, Chris.]

Crack the whip?

[He did ask. And as if on cue, Martin spins abruptly.]

[Wat]
