Let's Make the Most of the Night
The House of Mouse was booming that night, the distant sounds of a techno beat was echoing the streets. Night time had fallen, and so had the nightclub that was now open for the adults to come and enjoy themselves. Not that kids weren’t invited, they just probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much. As one enters into the doors of the club, the music blared out remixes that one couldn’t help but feel a sensation to dance once they entered the room. Dominic was mixing the drinks for the guests, while Goofy was skating around serving Hors d'œuvres, he… May have had a few accidents running into the walls at times.
Coming in the scene, came a familiar man that seemed to accept his fate that this place was free for him to visit. The Nostalgia Critic stood at the door, adjusting his red burgundy tie as another boy came from behind him. Emizel, although much much older, he looks almost in his twenties. He made a face as he looked around at the scene. “Critic, I don’t think I’m fit for this kinda thing,” Emizel commented, lifting his brow at some of the people on the dance floor.
The Critic made “pfft” and waved his hand dismissively at Emizel as he led the way toward the main floor. “Nonsense, you’ll be fine, I’ll teach you some of my moves,” Critic said with confidence. Emizel wasn’t so sure that Critic could have any good dance moves, but this human seems to have all types of weird surprises. Critic was about to show one of his moves when someone tapped Emizel on the shoulder.
“Emizel! You came!” came a cheery voice, Eden stood before Emizel as he turned to face her. As usual she had a bright smile on and was so gleeful to see him. “I’m so glad! I was beginning to think that I would be dancing with myself-But oh, what a shame you came here with someone.”
Hearing that, Nostalgia Critic turned his head lifting his brow at the greenish-weird colored genie. Doesn’t this girl already got a boyfriend, you know, that one other genie that’s voiced by some weirdo comedian with hair legs? Taking in a breathe he turned in as he grabbed Emizel’s hand, feeling suddenly somewhat territorial around him. “And what’s the shame in that exactly?!” Critic asked giving a glare at the girl, while Emizel looked between feeling a bit nervous.
“Well, I was hoping I could have the first dance with him,” Eden said as she took Emizel’s other hand. In response Critic tugged Emizel closer to him to try and get her to let go. Didn’t seem to work, she seems to be still attached.
“Hah, well too late sister, I got dibs first!” Critic pointed at her. While Eden blinked, then she suddenly got it, oho he’s jealous. She smirked.
“I’m not your sister sweetheart, but you could be old enough, let’s see you got a bit of grey hair going in. You could be my older brother~!” Eden snickered, while Nostalgia Critic growled as he let go of Emizel now advancing toward the genie.
“Hey! You wanna go bright eyes?”
“You think my eyes are bright? Oh that’s so sweet!”
“I MEANT THAT AS AN INSULT!”
“Was it?”
“Yes!!”
“Oh well that’s no good, I was about to say the same about your eyes. They’re very pretty you know~”
The Critic began to blush at her weird compliment, he couldn’t even tell. Was it a compliment?! Meanwhile Emizel made a face at them both while he tried to edge away from them. Not wanting to be caught between them, he didn’t make it though, Critic reached out and pulled him back in, but he was still glaring at Eden.
“Th-That’s besides the point! What makes you think Emizel wants to dance with you first anyway?!” Nostalgia Critic interrogated, while Emizel struggled to get out of the Critic’s grip.
“H-Hey! Don’t I get a say in this?!” Emizel asked as he tried to pull away. That just made Critic’s grip on his tighter.
“No, you’re my pet, I’m the owner, that’s how it works,” Critic said with an eyeroll.
“I’M NOT A KITTY!”
“SHUT UP KITTY!”
Eden gave a little smirk as clapped her hands together, “I dunno, I think you make the cutest kitty~!”
Both of them pointed at her at the same time, “YOU STAY OUTTA THIS!”
And at that very moment they both acquired cat ears and tail in a poof. They both blinked in surprise. Looking at themselves, making very what the fuck like expressions. While Eden popped in front of them with a big smile, “LOOK IT’S THE NOSTALGIA KITTEN AND EMIKITTY!”
Critic rolled his eyes, “Change us back.”
“But what about cat credit car-“
“NOW, EDEN!!”
Making a pout, Eden pointed at the boys she poofed them back to their normal state. Critic folded his arms as at the genie who seemed to be still amused. He gave a sigh, “Alright, we’ll just have to take turns with him then.”
“Rock, paper, scissors then~?”
“Right.”
Emizel gave a verbal sigh then exasperated, “I’m pretty sure, I can choose for myse-”
“Paper covers rock~!”
“FUCK! Two outta three?”
“G-Guys, aren’t you listening to me?!”
“Ohohohoho~ Alright, rock paper scissors shoot-OHO! SCISSORS CUT PAPER~!”
“DOUBLE FUCK!”
“GUYS!!”
They both turned to face him blinking in unison. Emizel growled at them, “I’m a grown ass adult! Can’t either of you let me make a decision?!”
Critic lifted his eyebrow, “Alright kid, who do you wanna dance with first?”
“None, now can I go home.”
“That’s not a decision Emizel, it’s either me or miss bouncy broccoli here.”
Eden lifted her finger, “Oh uh-I prefer mint, but thank you for thinking I’m healthy.” Critic groaned as he rolled his eyes at her. Was every attempt of an insult gonna go flying over her head? Or is she just trying to troll him? He really can’t tell.
Emizel turned around about to leave, “I’ll make it a decision if I WANT.”
“Hey! If you leave now, I’ll tell everyone across this universe you’re a chicken on the dance floor.”
Freezing, the boy faced the critic in a glare contest. Eden gave a gasp with an “ooooooooooooooooh.” Making a disgruntled expression, Emizel made his way toward Critic, then shoved him, “You wanna dance?”
“Well, that’s what I’ve been trying to get you make a decision on YES.”
“I’ve made my decision, you first, then miss bouncy greenbean.”
Eden made smile as she nodded, then blinked, wait… Did he just call her a-Too late Emizel was already grabbing Critic by the tie and pulled him on to the dance floor. Giving a verbal manly squeak, the Nostalgia Critic was soon moving his feet in coordination with Emizel. Who already was pulling the Critic this way and that way onto the dance floor. Making moves that he couldn’t believe the kid knew already. His heart was beating so fast as danced with Mr. Death.
Soon enough the dance got them closer and closer together, their hips practically touching as they moved to the beat. Critic’s chest heaved as Emizel kept control of Critic with his tie. Soon pushing him down near the end of the song, his nose close to his, like a deer in the headlights. The Critic froze, as Emizel looked into his eyes with such intensity it made him feel like the world suddenly stopped. Then giving a smirk Emizel pushed him away on the floor, making his way to Eden who looked absolutely ecstatic to dance with him next.
The Critic laid on the ground as he sat back up staring at the couple that was now dancing. He eyelid gave out a twitch, unaware of the blush on his cheeks he stared after Eden and Emizel who seemed to be actually having fun dancing. Nostalgia Critic got himself up, brushing himself off. He gave out a verbal sigh as he leaned against the wall, watching the two dance. It just wasn’t fair, it wasn’t. Emizel shouldn’t tease him like that. Right when he was about to walk off, Eden walked over as soon as the song was over. She took the Critic by the hand, “It’s our turn silly~”
“Wha-? But… Didn’t you want to-?”
“I like dancing with my friends silly, and I think you’re good enough qualified to be my friend. So let’s be friends and dance!”
The Critic blinked and pointed at Eden as he looked at Emizel, “Is her logic always like this.”
Emizel gave a nod, then shrugged. Yup you’re stuck with her now Critic, get used to it. Giving out a sigh, Critic nodded, “Alright let’s dance then.”
The night went on, while the dance with Eden wasn’t as intense as with Emizel. He felt himself actually enjoying himself. As they danced she actually got him convinced to do the swing. Emizel watched them, getting one of the drinks from the bar, he watched the two on.
“You like them, eh?”
“Wha-?” Emizel turned his attention to Dominic he gave him a knowing smile, then shook his head immediately, “Ah, no no, they’re just friends.”
Chuckling the bartender then nodded as he cleaned one of the glasses, “Alright Emizel, just friends. Ya should join them, ya might have fun with both.”
Emizel gave a sigh and shook his head, “I rather not have to choose between either really, but… I dunno, I don’t think I’m ready for…”
Dominic looked between him and the two dancing. He gave a shrug as gave a little bit of advice, “Well let me give ya something my mum once told me. Friends are the best things to have in life, once ya find the perfect ones, don’tcha ever let go of em.”
Widen his eyes a bit, Emizel turned to look at Dominic but he was already with another customer. He looked back at the two with a sigh. His admiration seemed to wonder as he watch the two have a fun time. Maybe he’ll join them… Maybe he won’t… Guess he’ll let the music keep playing on to the night till he knows what to do.
