I'm in the Business of Misery

[After Ask That Guy put that collar on Fluttershy, he felt a sort of ease with himself. A satisfaction if you will. That things were finally going to be going his way. And he'll be able to torture these poor unfortunate souls just a little bit longer. He gave out a dark chuckle as soon as Fluttershy exited the bar. Retreating back behind into the bar. The lights went out one by one as soon as he disappeared into the shadows.]

[Twilight Sparkle was worried. Very much worried. She hadn't been at first, after all Fluttershy didn't always answer her cell phone. But after several hours of trying to call her friend without even a text message telling her that she was fine, the teenage bookworm was very much worried.

She had therefore decided to drop by Fluttershy's house after she finished her shift in the library. But she had found that her shy friend had not returned yet. She therefore waited outside on the doorstep, reading one of her books to pass the time.

She had been waiting for half an hour now.]

[Fluttershy had been heading home rather slowly, pretty much dead on her feet. The whole situation with Dominic and Ask That Guy at the bar had left her nearly sick with worry, and coupled with her fatigue from all that work was already putting a lot of strain on her.

She only now is in view of her house, not that she really notices as she tugs on the collar around her neck. Part of her wonders if she can simply remove it, but another part doesn't want to take such a chance.]

[Twilight looke up from her book and saw the pink-haired girl coming. Closing the book, she put it down as she stood up and walked away fromt he doorstep.]

Fluttershy?

[She jumped, visibly shaken from the sudden voice. But the edge of panic seemed to calm when she noticed who it was.]

O-Oh, Twilight. I-I...didn't see you there...

[Despite how the other girl had been sitting in front of her house...]

[She walked over to her]

Is everything okay? I've been trying to call you for a few hours and... what is that around your neck?!

[She winced a little, stepping past Twilight for the moment to open the door to her house.]

I-It's...nothing. I-I'm sorry I wasn't answering, I-I was...working at the bar and...lost track of time.

[She followed Fluttershy ads she walked past her.]

I understand, but... that doesn't look like nothing. Are you sure that everything is okay?

[She hesitates for a moment; she seems a bit paranoid, glancing around as if expecting someone to appear suddenly. Once she gets the door open, she simply motions for Twilight to head inside.]

[She followed her friend inside. Her behavior was starting to worry for her. She was way too fidgety, even for her.]

[Once they were both in the house, Fluttershy shut the door. It was only then that Fluttershy allowed herself to break down.]

Oh Twilight...! It's just awful...!

[Her purple eyes widened at Fluttershy's reaction. She instantly went over and grabbed her gently by the shoulders.]

Fluttershy, what's wrong? Did something happen at the bar?

[She nodded, shuddering a little.] It's terrible...! Wh-When I went to the bar today, D-Dominic wasn't there...i-it was someone else, and he...

H-He's taken Dominic...! He's hurt him, and if I don't do what he says, he might do something even worse to him...!

What?!

[That... that was not good. Not good at all]

Okay, calm down. Take a deep breath, and then tell me what it is this guy wants you to do.

[She sniffles, and has to take a few breaths before she manages to speak again.]

He had me cleaning the bar all night...Th-That's why I wasn't able to answer when you called. I-I had to make sure the bar was spotless, because he said he would hurt Dominic more if he found any dirt...

A-And I have to be in tomorrow at 8 in the morning... [Which did not leave a lot of time for sleep.] A-And why I'm wearing this... [She fingers the collar around her neck.] H-He said it was a tracking device...t-to make sure I don't try to save Dominic...

[Twilight didn't get angry too easily. But she felt a feeling of pure anger ring through her. Her friend was being bullied?! Because of some dirt?! And this guy resorted to kidnapping?!]

So if you try to save him, he'll know? Have you tried calling the police?

I-I'm afraid to...If they go looking, and they don't find Dominic...I-I'm scared of what he might do...

[She understood what Fluttershy was saying but this wasn't something that her friend could handle. It was best to get the police. But...]

Do you know where this person may have gone after that?

[She shook her head.] This is the first time I've ever met him...H-He might have stayed at the bar, but...

[She sighed] Okay, this is what we'll do I'll go to the bar and see if I can find him and any sign of Dominic. I know that it's dangerous, but we need to do something. If I don't come back here in an hour, I want you to call the police and tell them what's going on. Nothing bad will happen if you do, I promise.

[She looked at Twilight with wide, scared eyes.] B-But Twilight...I-If he catches you...oh, he's hurt Dominic so badly, what if - ?

I promise you that I will be fine. I will be as careful as I possibly can. But if Dominic is in trouble, we can't just leave him and let who knows what happen. Just wait here and do as I told you. I'll get you both out of this, I promise.

O-Oh Twilight...

[She felt awful for making her friend do this. But she was in the worst possible predicament, and she didn't know what else to do.]

Please be careful...If something happened to you too, I...I just couldn't bear it...

I will, I promise. Don't worry, everything is going to be fine. I'm going to head for the bar, and remember after one hour call the police. Okay?

[She still couldn't help but worry, but still managed a small nod.]

[She smiled] Good. I'm going to the bar. I will be back, and Dominic will be safe. I'll see you soon.

[With one more look at her friend, she walked outside. She grabbed her book and her backpack, shoving the book into it. She put in on before walking off. She was nervous, but she had to do this. For Fluttershy's sake.]

[Ask That Guy was alone in the bar. A low sound of a melody can be heard in the air, a solo of a violin. The lone fireplace was the only light source within the place.

As bar panned out to where he stood by it. The silhouette shadow of a man with a violin, with pipe in his mouth. As he appeared to playing to the sound of the music. But as it panned out and showed that he was playing instead on a toy violin and the source of the instrumental piece was actually coming from the radio.

So he stood, pretending to play the violin to the classic melody. Very much wrapped up in his own little world. The crazy man was indeed, not all quite there.]

[Before going to the bar, Twilight had gone home to grab a few things, just in case. She lived only a few minutes away from the bar, so it didn;t take her long to get there. But before she could try to see if the door was unlocked, she heard the music.

Going to a nearby window, she peaked inside. She saw the guy with the violin... only it didn't look like a normal violin. This was getting... weird. Still, she returned to the door and slowly cracked it open.]

[As soon as the piece ended, he used his bow to tap his cellphone.]

Quite nice wasn't that? I always felt like that had sentimental value.

[There was a pause. Ask That Guy's face grew stern as he put away the violin and picked up his wine glass.]

Are you going to continue not to talk to me Dominic? Or has my beautiful music put you to sleep?

[Then moments later as Ask That Guy took a sip of his drink, a voice came from the cellphone, "You hurt her didn't you?"]

Not as much as I'm going to do to you. Just stay in the basement for now, while I plan a few things.

["YOU SON OF A-" Before Dominic could finish that sentence, Ask That Guy simply poked the cellphone again with his bow to turn it off as he finished drinking his wine.]

[Well... this guy was... freaky. Still, she now know where Dominic was at least. But to reach the basement, she'd have to use stealth to get there without being seen.

She carefully slipped through the door before carefully closing it. Staying against the wall, she sneaked her way through, hoping that the guy didn't hear her. Soon, she saw the basement door. She sneaked over and started to open it... only for it to creak loudly. Eyes widening, she quickly closed it and hid behind a wall in hopes that the guy didn't turn and find her.

[Hearing the the loud creak, Ask That Guy turned his head in curiosity of where the noise came from. He squinted his eyes toward the door in suspicion. But thinking it was probably just the wind he gave a shrug and continued sipping his wine.]
