D23 Got Mun Excited like WHU

[Gives a laugh while on the phone with his mun.]

You're really excited about this movie "Gigantic" aren't you?

Yea! The girl looks really cute, I hope she finds her family too. I'm sure her giant race are probably friendly like mine from what I can tell and she'll most likely have a nice friendship with Jack.

Keep in touch with me on this, I wanna learn more too.

[Hangs up as he goes to grab some soda.]

*Now it's time for Mal to lose that ability to look strong, or maintain terrifying eye contact. She just... wasn't sure how to explain her relationship with her mother. Just that it didn't work.*

I haven't cursed any princesses, raised any armies, or found a way to free her from the Isle.

Plus she's certain I take after my father...

Look, when your mother is the most feared and hated villain to ever walk the Earth, well...

You get used to expectations being more important than love.

*Not that she cares about love, no, love is not important. Why would anyone care about that? Definitely not her.*

Why shouldn't she, she has all the power? That's how things work.

Besides, she's getting me ready, so that when we escape I can beat the 'nice' people of Auradon who trapped us in this prison for the past twenty years.

*If you think she looks a little young to be twenty, that's because she's sixteen. Yes, that's the math here.*

I prefer having power over others than others having power over me.

Those are the options on the Island, there isn't any... happily existing like some prissy Auradon prince.

*Although she did find both options felt pretty empty, but one of them let her play tricks and at least enjoy the disruption it caused. Or let her steal candy from a baby, and then she had candy.*

I'm not some goodie goodie Auradon princess. My life doesn't work like that.

Everyone wants something, everyone expects something. Bribes, threats, blackmail, there's always an angle, always some scheme that has to be looked out for. Sure, sometimes we're on the same side, but only because someone wants something. Like when Jay and I trade stolen goods, he wants something, I want something.

Does that count in your respect and kindness world?

I'm sure where you're from that's how it works.

I grew up in a prison for villains. Evil villains, and the people that aren't villains were henchmen and collaborators and whatever monsters the heroes didn't want around their precious perfect kingdoms.

And it's pronounced 'Thank you.' *Mal just showed an impressive level of venomous false sincerity as she said Thank you. As that's the only way she's ever heard it said.*

King Beast isn't exactly historically human. The kid in line for Sultan was a Street Rat and a thief. But unless you got an in with a Prince or Princess, yeah, you'd probably be sent to the Isle of the Lost.

The Dwarves were spared because of Snow White, and they probably get all the royals their gemstones for party favors. And unless Fairy Godmother protected you, fae blood got you sent to the island along with my mom.

If it helps, you wouldn't be a villain, just trapped with villains.

Good on ya, you'd probably do pretty well on the Island. And your strength would probably last even with the barrier.

Either you'd find good work, or someone would kill you as a threat to them.

Well, 'good' being 'work that pays.' You'd probably be in construction, loan enforcement, or some other hired muscle.

But one of the big bads on the island would find you a threat and probably try to have you killed. Consider it a compliment?

Look, I didn't make the rules.

I'm a failure because only a handful of people have tried to kill me.

*Among other reasons. There is this flash of sympathy in her eyes, but its quickly replaced by her usual malcontent determination.*

...Sorry about your parents.

*Comment that she said anything sympathetic and she will deny it, viciously. And possibly give you a terrible hairstyle. Mal can be petty.*

The island is where Auradon sends all they don't care for. I'm sure nobody on the mainland knows or cares what we do.

That's the way things are.

They aren't changing. Not anytime soon, all the royals are probably too happy to care about anything else. Not without someone to make things change.
