[It was his fault.

It was always his fault, it seemed, when things like this happened. No matter how hard he tried, no matter what he did--or didn't do--in the end the results were damnedly similar. That was simply what it meant to be Loki. He had struggled against that way of thinking for so long, refusing to give up, unwilling to stop believing that things could be different, but his willpower wasn't infinite. And although he knew that the path one took was undeniably important, even if your journey brought you to the same place that an easier and less-Good route would have, that didn't make taking that high road any less hard.

Sometimes there was only one path, a series of unpalatable means to a worthy end.

Worst of all, sometimes there wasn't a clear moment that a choice had been made; sometimes there was no plan, no scheme; sometimes things he'd never considered came to pass on their own, indirect and unforeseen results of his actions.

Sometimes accidents happened.

But even so, even if he hadn't meant for it to happen, this was no accident. This was undeniably his fault. After all, if not for him, Arthur would never have crossed the Bifrost into Svartalfheim in the first place, much less felt the need to step in and rescue Loki from Malekith's clutches. If not for him, the trail of blood Arthur was leaving on the ground behind them wouldn't exist.

Roughly slung over Arthur's shoulder as he was now, it was difficult to do anything but hold on, though eventually the young godling managed to get a few words out.]

...Arthur...Arthur, stop. Please.

[As far as the giant-sized hero had gone already, it would be hours before any possible pursuers got anywhere near them...and though Loki already knew from the amount of blood that the wound--or was it wounds?--was likely to be mortal, if Arthur kept running like this...]

[It was all over the news - something was attacking the populace of Birchpointe. Some forces were trying to hold it back, but to no avail. Nothing was able to stop the onslaught of this derelict yellow robot.

No deaths were reported, but it wouldn't be long before some were - was there anyone who could stop this rampaging menace to society? Who knew who the robot really was?

Well... Arthur probably did.

It was Rochelle. And her form was not human, like it would be during the day - it was in its nighttime recharging form, a derelict robotic shell of its former self, with weaponized arms and shoulders, blowing things up, with no preference or prejudice.]

[Skywalker and Saving Throw were in the city fighting these terrifying large aliens who were bent on destroying everything. Skyscraper was already 40 feet tall fight off all that he could, as he stood over Saving Throw trying to get all the really big ones for her.]

Where the hell did these all come from?!

Demons - some kind of unholy 2/3/6 abomination

[Harvey's been starving for so long now.

They've been keeping him in a room, and they won't let him feed. It's because he disobeyed their sire and abandoned the clan, or something like that - he can't focus on their words anymore. He can't even focus on his own thoughts; all he does now is pace and claw at the walls, trying to get out and find something, anything, to slake his thirst. He doesn't know how long it's been. It's more than he can do to even remember how he got here.

Tonight, though, they let him out. They had blood in them, just a small cold amount, but he might have attacked them for it anyway if their sire hadn't been there. Instead, he let them take him away. His sire says there's some humans in particular he needs to kill first, before he can have any others. Most of their talk washes right over him, drowned out by his desperate need, but he understands kill well enough. Of course he'll obey. That's exactly what he wanted anyway.

The thing that slips into the apartment through a window looks more like a tattered, days-old corpse than Harvey Finevoice ever allows himself to appear. His fangs are long and sharp, and his eyes are black from corner to corner as he scents the air. There's demons here, as well as humans...but that doesn't matter. He's beyond strategy, and he's just going to attack whatever living thing he sees first.]

[Tails hadn't ever thought his life would come to this - to a decision that would, ultimately, be his undoing. But it spared his girlfriend's life, and he didn't have much time to think about it - it was almost instinctive.

Tails wasn't one to stare danger in the face all that often - he'd prefer to sit back and stay safe, and keep his own Pokemon out of danger most of the time. But sometimes, it just wasn't that easy... like when a feral Drapion happened upon them and attempted to sting Fluttershy. With both of their Pokemon too far away to react, Tails threw himself in front of her, and took the hit right to the chest, knocking him back with a grunt of pain.

Luckily, their Pokemon had managed to scare off the Drapion after the fact, but Tails' wound was pretty bad...

He managed to try and sit up a little, groaning.]

He was rushing toward her, his clothes looked torn, and he looked somewhat bruised and battered.
