The Bad Ending Meme

You've chosen your path and it's led you to one of the worst possible ends. A bad ending you've averted in the past could be coming true after all, a possibility you've always feared could be happening now. It's game over.

prompts
one。 SURVIVORS -- you two are the only ones left, whether it be the result of the apocalypse, a fight with the final boss gone horribly wrong, or something equally tragic. now you're left to contemplate friends and loved ones lost, as well as which one of you may be next.
two。 SICKNESS -- you are seriously ill. poisoning, virus, perhaps it's even mental; whatever the reason, you doubt time is on your side this time.
three。 FORGOTTEN -- you're not sure how, but your memories are crumbling and the things you do recall are hazy and make you dizzy. can you even recognize the person in front of you anymore?
four。 SEPARATED -- you can see them, hear them, but something's keeping you from being with them. perhaps you're placed in a room with impenetrable glass dividing you, or you're hiding in a phone booth downtown, calling them secretly.
five。 MELLOWED -- you've been through things, you've loved and you've lost, and all of that's changed you. maybe you finally decided to give in to temptation, you could be addicted to a substance you know is destroying you, or you've simply lost the optimism you had as a youth.
six。 ANTAGONIST -- you've flipped the coin. you had to do it; they might not be able to understand it, but you just can't forgive the things that have happened. the darkness has consumed you.
seven。 FREE CHOICE -- combine any of the others, reroll, or make up your own bad ending. the choice is yours!

[Time feels like it's going in slow motion. Liz grabs Arthur's wrist, yanking him forward and twisting her body so that she's in front of him, and she throws her two d10s to the ground.
It's a hopeless effort, rolling a pitiful 15. Not even enough to stop a bullet. The shield forms, but is instantly shattered as the laser cuts through it, not even stopped by the shield. Liz is hit square in the chest and she falls backwards into Arthur.]

[He held her up as his kneeled down looking at her wound as he desperately tried to cover it. His eyes widen in panic, as heart rate started racing.]
Oh God.
Oh God, no no. Saving Throw, wh-what why did you-?
Just hang in there-h-hold you're gonna be okay I promise, j-just hang on! Alright, I'm here, we j-just need to get out of here into safety an-and you'll be alright!

[The alien seems to back down for the moment. Saving Throw coughs and convulses in his arms, blood trickling down the corner of her mouth. She looks up at Skyscraper, eyes struggling to focus. With shaky hands, her breath shallow and labored, she unclips her dice bag from her belt, struggling to hold them up to him. She speaks with a strangled, wheezy voice.]
Le-Lewis Lovhaug. The reporter.
[Her arm becomes dead weight, dropping the bag against his chest.]
H-he'll know w-what to do with these.

[He held the bag, as he looked at her.]
Wh-What does that-?
No NO.
Just hang on-JUst, hang on!
[His voice cracked as he tried to smile for her as he picked her up from the ground trying to carry her through the rubble. His body was shaking, he could barely keep himself together.]
W-We'll find him together just breath, we'll be alright!
You and me, we're a team remember?
It'll be alright!

Don't...don't bother...not gonna make it.
[She coughs again, more blood.]
Tell him...I love him.
Take...take care of...yourself...

You're gonna make you're gonna be fine.
[He looks down as his eyes grows wide, already glazed over with tears as he slowed down coming to his knees as he held her. Looking down at her as tears started well up.]
Y-You can't DO this.
Liz... Please... God don't do this...

Art...
[She fumbles for the mask on her face, pulling it down clumsily and looks up at Arthur again, trying a weak smile.]
It's okay.
[But that's all she manages to say before her face falls and she slowly goes limp in Arthur's arms. Despite Arthur's pleas there's only so long one can survive with a punctured lung. Her breath hitches and stutters a few last times, then finally stops.
Meanwhile, the alien that shot her has slowly come up behind them, and now has its gun aimed at the back of Arthur's head.]

[Arthur looked quietly. His eyes searching for the life in Liz's eyes. Trying to breath softly as he held her. His body quivering at her going limp. Arthur eyes going wide as she had gone from this world.]
No...
[He held her close as he shook more. Not even noticing the alien at first. He cried on top of her as he rocked in place.]
No.

[The laser sounds behind his head made him slowly turn around. His tear filled eyes now with sorrow now slowly turning into anger. His teeth gritted as he slowly put her down. And stood up, in almost a quick instant he grabbed the gun. Breaking it instantly as he started grow in size in an exponential rate.
As his next hand grabbed the aliens neck as squeezed the black blood dripped down his hand. As the aliens flew around him he gave out an unhuman scream in anger as he grabbed and started killing all of the aliens not even looking where he's throwing this time.
Kicking and punching as he continued to grow in heights knocking a already wrecked building over as he raged.
Soon all the aliens were annihilated as the citizens looked on in quiet horror.
Tears running down his cheek as the smoke cleared. He fell to his knees. Hands grasping the ground picking up some rubble, his body still shaking.]
I failed again... I failed you... I...
[He cried out again as he held his head crumbling to the ground, not even caring about his gigantic size. Tears falling on the pavement.]
And now we go crazy or something
But what really gets his attention is the body lying in the rubble. His eyes go wide and he makes a beeline for her, dangers be damned. His heart practically stops, his worst fears confirmed as he nearly collapses over Liz's body, shaking her in blind desperation.]
Liz! Liz!!! Oh God...

...
Lewis...
[He looked down, he couldn't bare it. His body still was shaking from the overwhelming feelings. He grasped the emerald pendant that was glowing hot from the energies it was trying to keep.]
I... There was an alien and... I-I couldn't she...

He looks up at his name, still cradling her in one arm as he reaches out to take the bag. He listens to Arthur's attempt at explaining the situation, eyes slowly falling back on her as he clutches the bag to his chest, fingers curling tight around the leather.]

Taking his hand away before he turned his head slightly toward them and slowly came back over.]
And... Sh-told me s-say...
[He took in a shaky breath as he looked at him sincerely.]
She loves you.

This...this isn't your fault.
2/2
It's theirs!
[Without any warning he then starts to scream, pulling dice blindly out of the bag and throwing them as hard as he can at a nearby half-broken wall.]
YOU STUPID PIECES OF CRAP! [The d12 lands an 8, not even leaving a crack.] YOU'RE THE REASON SHE EVEN WENT INTO THIS BUSINESS! [3 from the d4, oil slick spattering the surrounding rubble.] AND WHY?! WHAT WAS YOUR GRAND FREAKING DESIGN, HUH?! [One d10 snaps harmlessly on a 3] WHY?! YOU COULDN'T EVEN PROTECT HER IN THE END! [Prepared to throw the other d10. This should probably stop before they potentially break something.]

[Arthur watched him, letting him rage at the dice. Watching him break things around him without mercy. Taking a breath or two.]
L-Lewis... Lewis don't...
[He saw that before he rushed over and held his arm to try and prevent him from breaking anything else.]
Lewis!

I...I almost couldn't believe when she told me about all this. She'd saved my life more times than I can count. She was so headstrong about it...she loved doing this. I don't think the dice could've chosen a better person.
...and now....now she...

I-I'm so sorry...
[Starting to cry with him.]

He's only somewhat more composed when they come for her body. He doesn't scream or beg to stay with her. He doesn't even look when they move her into the body bag. He just sits on a nearby hunk of rubble staring at the bag in his hands - he'd since recovered the dice. They oddly are still quite active even with the death of their mistress. Perhaps their proximity to Lewis has caused them to recognize him as trustworthy.]
